My Friend, Jenessa Nicole Byers aka Boey, inspires me to fight cancer.

On January 28th, 2006, at the age of six, Jenessa was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. With her incredible parents Rob and Rachel, brothers Chris and Joe by her side Jenessa fought with every once of her petite body. Her faith and courage was so inspiring. While fighting the disease herself, Jenessa fought to find a cure for her other "warrior friends". She met with Senator Ron Wyden OR, to ensure that he would do what he could to help pass the Caroline Pryce Walker Conquer Childhood Cancer Act, which President George W. Bush signed into law on July 29, 2008. She also took time to visit other children in the hospital bringing gifts and cards for all. Jenessa earned her wings December 28, 2007 but not before discussing with her parents, her dream to start a foundation to help other kids battling cancer. In September 2008 The Believe for Boey Foundation was created....Her legacy lives on. She's my pint size HERO!!
